Our “Sherlock Holmes” productions are dramas. To audition, you will need to prepare a monologue of at least a minute in length. There will be no singing for those auditions.

Hi. My name is Madalynn. My Uncle has been in quite a few productions here, and I have been fortunate enough to have seen a few of your awesome shows! I don’t live in California anymore, but I want to be a actress (very much).
I have been searching around trying to learn some info. I decided to search your website, and found the Sherlock Holmes show. This is one of my FAVORITE books.
So if I was to audition for this production, how should I get started?
Thank you
-Sincerely Madalynn.

Unfortunately, our auditions are long since past for this production. However, if you are speaking in general terms, each theater has it’s own way of doing auditions, but for the most part, if it is a musical, you would prepare a song to sing and bring sheet music with you (or an instrumental CD if the theater allows for it) and you would sing in front of an audition panel made up of the production staff. There may also be a dance audition as well as cold readings. For a drama, you would prepare a monologue that you would then perform in front of the audition panel.
