The following information answers many of the frequently asked questions regarding auditions and shows.
- When deciding whether or not to audition for one of our shows, please consider that the entire process, from orientation through closing day, is approximately 3 months. The first half will involve your weeknights, and the second half will involve your weekends.
- Rehearsal dates are listed on the paperwork provided at auditions
- Please carefully review your schedule to determine if you have the availability required
- It’s best to view a TBD (To Be Determined) as a probable rehearsal and to keep that date open
- You will be expected to be available for all rehearsals, However, you may not be called for all of them.
- List any conflicts on your audition form. Surprising us later with new, non-emergency, conflicts is unacceptable
- Generally speaking, rehearsals are Tuesday-Thursday, 7:00pm-10:30pm for the first few weeks. They may also be Monday – Wednesday at times instead.
- Cement week (week before tech week) rehearsals are Tuesday-Friday 6:30-10:30pm, with a possible Saturday morning 9am-noon
- Tech Week (week before opening) rehearsals are Monday through opening night, 6:00pm until finished. Please plan for late nights during this week
- For productions with young children in the cast, we do make every effort possible to get them out earlier.
- Performance Run
- We perform 4 shows per weekend, with the exception of the last weekend when we also have a Thursday night performance and our opening weekend, which on has 2 performances.
- Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening performances begin at 7:00
- Call time is 6:00
- Saturday and Sunday matinees begin at 2:00
- Call time is 1:00
- If you write on your form that you are willing to accept any part, please stand by that. Please don’t drop the show because you didn’t get the particular part you wanted.
- If you will only accept a particular part, please say so. We appreciate the honesty; it will not make you look like a diva.
