Theater and Dance classes
From Audition to Performance
LifeHouse Theater is pleased to host the Team Broadway theatre classes by Michael & Kelsey Millgan.
Classes will take place each Tuesday with a final performance over two nights.
There are three classes available:
TEAM BROADWAY JUNIOR (AGES 6-10) – This course will begin the quest to become a more seasoned performer through instruction in auditioning, singing, dancing, stage presence, teamwork, and more! Class meets on Tuesdays from 4:30pm – 5:15pm.
TEAM BROADWAY SENIOR (Ages 10-18) – This course explores a combination of singing, dancing, and acting techniques to help hone performing skills. Whether you have been on stage before or are looking for a first opportunity, this Team Broadway class will benefit you in your quest for becoming a better performer! Class meets on Tuesdays from 5:15pm – 6:45pm.
TEAM BROADWAY ACTING (ages 10-18) – Scene work, character creation, stage presence, public speaking, improvisation, and auditioning are some of the topics and techniques covered in this fun interactive course. Learn to think outside of the box to create memorable characters and take your acting ability to the next level with the Team Broadway Acting class! Class meets on Tuesdays from 6:45pm – 7:30pm.
The courses cost $150 for the Junior class and Acting class and $175 for the Senior class.
Parents can register their children for classes through the LifeHouse Theater Box Office over the phone with a Visa or MasterCard by calling 335-3037. Parents can also register in person at the box office, which is open Fridays from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and one hour prior to performance times on the weekends.

LifeHouse Theater is pleased to offer the StageRight Dance Classes for all ages!
Fall Session of the dance classes will begin September 9, 2019.
Award-winning Choreographer, Michael Milligan and his team will be teaching different forms of dance, including tap, swing, jazz and more! No matter if you are age 7 or 70 – these classes are for you!
Classes are one hour long (30 minutes for the Intro to Tap class). Classes offered for this session are Intro to Tap (4:00pm – 4:30pm), Musical Theatre Dance (4:30pm – 5:30pm), Tap I (5:30pm – 6:30pm), Tap II (7:30pm – 8:30pm) and Swing & Social Dance (7:30pm – 8:30pm).
Each hour long class costs $10 or you can register for 1 month (4 classes) for $35 or 2 months (8 classes) for $65, or a full 10 weeks (10 classes) for $80. Intro to Tap class will cost $7 per class. Each class is limited to 20 students. Registration can be made at the LifeHouse Theater Box Office in person or by calling 909-335-3037 or on the day of the class at the door.
Join the class at anytime! Instruction will work for you no matter what stage of experience you are.
Classes will take place each Monday at the LifeHouse Theater Studio (450 Kansas St., Redlands, CA 92374)
Intro to Tap (4:00pm – 4:30pm) – This 1/2 hour weekly class will lay the foundation of steps and sounds you need to become a successful tapper! Get acquainted with the basic movements and rhythms of tap in an upbeat and fun learning environment. This class is geared towards students as young as age five, but is also available for anyone who needs a little kickstart on their tapping journey!
Musical Theater Dance (4:30pm – 5:30pm) – Do you want to become more confident learning Musical Theater choreography? Do you want to feel comfortable attending a dance audition or call back? Would you like to learn multiple Musical Theater dance combinations? Then this is the class for you! This course will be a fusion of different styles with a focus on choreography retention and style, as well as in flexibility, strength, and movement technique! Ages 6 & up
Tap I (5:30pm – 6:30pm) – Bust out those tap shoes and join the StageRight Dance program for Tap I! This course will help you finesse fundamental tap moves and sounds until they become second nature. Each class begins with warm ups tailored for proper ankle movement and weight placement for clear tap sounds, across the floors, combinations, and intro to tap improvisation. If you have tapped before and are ready to expand your portfolio, Tap I is for you! Ages 8 & up.
Tap II (6:30pm – 7:30pm) – Are your pull-backs up to par? Do your maxifords looks marvelous? Are your time steps really in time? Tap II is the place to be if you are an experienced tapper looking to take your skills to the next level! With over 15 years of tap experience, Mr. Aaron Milligan delivers a challenging course designed to help you think outside of the box in regard to rhythms and sounds through a series of warm ups, across the floor exercises, combinations, stationary tap work, muscle toning, and improvisation. It is recommended that Tap I or moderate tap experience be a prerequisite to taking this course. We hope to see you there!
Swing & Social (7:30pm – 8:30pm) – Get ready to Swing! This course will cover the basics of Swing dancing, as well as other forms of Social Dancing such as Waltz, Jitterbug, and Foxtrot, to name a few! Be prepared to wow your friends and partner on the dance floor with the cool moves you’ll learn! This course is for teens and up! **You do not have to bring a partner to attend and enjoy this class!**
