IMPORTANT UPDATES ON THE CORONAVIRUS SITUATION
AUGUST 6 10:30AM
Dear LifeHouse Friends:
We pray that this letter finds you safe and healthy as we all continue to navigate this challenging time.
Please allow me to update you on LifeHouse and share our progress as we seek to reopen the theater.
First, thank you again for your continued support of LifeHouse Theater. Your patience with us as we work to resume operations is truly appreciated. We eagerly anticipate hosting you for one of our productions again and I pray it will be soon.
We were on a path to reopen with “The Rise of King David” last July 11 until state policies forced us to cancel any public performance of the musical as scheduled. We have made plans to reopen since then, but those too have needed to be pushed back on the calendar for the same reasons.
Due to current state health policies, and the uncertainty of this fluid situation, I truly regret to announce that we must cancel the remainder of our 26th season.
Through the unprecedented difficulties we face in keeping LifeHouse Theater viable, we have received many kind expressions of encouragement from our subscribers and other guests. These gracious comments have helped sustain us during these months of closure.
Our staff and I are unemployed. The positive side of that unavoidable circumstance means that at least any funds raised or donated now go directly toward the ongoing expenses of the theater that are necessities—lease obligations, insurance and related expenses—so that we may join you in returning as soon as possible. And we are volunteering our time working to ensure that LifeHouse will survive long enough to reopen. If you would like to help us get through this time financially, you can donate through our GoFundMe. The link can be found at the end of this update.
We have created a high quality video presentation of “The Rise of King David” cast performing this magnificent musical. We will be making this available as a special pay-per-view performance. Final edits of the video will be completed soon and we will be in touch with you about how you may enjoy it.
Another bright spot in the present delay we are experiencing is that we have additional time to prepare for our upcoming 27th season—which promises to be exciting and uplifting. We hope to see more certainty in state and national policies by that time.
Our 27th season is currently scheduled to begin October 17 with “Esther.” In addition, “Little Women” will also be incorporated into our 27th season schedule— along with the rest of the new season productions—which we will announce at our Season Celebration this Fall. (We anticipate offering “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” in a future season).
Should state policies allow LifeHouse to reopen earlier than the October 17 start of the 27th season, we have some special productions planned that include “Florence Nightingale” and the hilarious farce, “Love and Laughter.”
In the meantime, be on the lookout for free entertaining surprises available soon through our YouTube channel and other venues.
Again, I deeply regret how current events have led to our temporary closure. I sincerely hope that my next update to you will be to inform you of our reopening and the special health measures we are busy implementing for your safe return.
I invite you to make regular visits to our Facebook page and website for the latest on our progress and potential schedule changes.
Please know that we sincerely appreciate your patience and support at this challenging time. All of us are working to earn your continued confidence. We look forward to seeing you again at LifeHouse Theater!
Yours Gratefully,

JUNE 15 11:30AM
Dear LifeHouse Friends:
I sincerely thank you for your ongoing support. Your commitment to LifeHouse Theater—whether as a guest, season subscriber, cast storyteller, volunteer, sponsor or donor—has sustained our outreach through nearly 30 years! I never forget that.
You may also have supported us financially in the past—and most recently during this period when the pandemic understandably forced our closure last March 17th. I truly appreciate your part in keeping LifeHouse viable during this challenging time.
Thanks to the help of so many, and to God’s providential hand, we met our initial Go Fund Me goal of $30,000. That goal was set to meet the theater’s financial obligations for what we first thought would be about a four-to-six-week period of closure.
The hidden fixed expenses of leases, utilities, storage, liability and health insurance are ongoing, despite our lack of income from live performances.
Nevertheless, we have sought to give back to our community during this time by presenting encore presentations of stage productions on our YouTube channel.
We’re now approaching our 14th week of closure!
In addition to ongoing expenses, we are bracing for the added costs of new CDC sanitation protocols, facility fixtures such as shields, protective equipment, additional cleaning supplies, sanitation stations and the like.
And, when we re-open, we expect our performance income stream to be severely limited indefinitely because of social distancing policies and reduced capacity. We’re happy to comply, however, because your health and safety is foremost in our thoughts.
The good news is that it appears our re-opening is finally on the horizon! We have been getting ready and we are truly looking forward to welcoming you back. The theater has experienced a deep cleaning and new sanitation procedures are in place to ensure your experience is safe, fun and memorable.
In order to bridge the financial gap from here to our re-opening, we have extended our Go Fund Me campaign. Our desire is for LifeHouse to not only survive, but also to thrive!
Would you please prayerfully consider partnering with us financially with a tax deductible gift? Your help is needed now and we sincerely appreciate your assistance. No gift is too small.
We look forward to hosting you again at LifeHouse—and to continue making a positive difference in the lives of thousands of Inland Empire families!
Yours Gratefully,
Wayne Scott

MAY 14 5:30PM
Dear Friends of LifeHouse Theater—
I want to express my deepest appreciation to you for your most gracious support of our outreach. Your partnership with us is evidence of God’s faithfulness and provision. You have also given us the blessed gift of encouragement beyond measure!
As you likely know now, since the closure of LifeHouse on March 17, we have reached and exceeded our fundraising goal of $30,000 for the period of March 18 to the present. We are so grateful for this great victory! These funds are going a long way to meet the needs of our employees, our lease and other ongoing theater expenses.
Another wonderful victory I’m happy to report is that LifeHouse qualified for and received funding from the CARES Act. This money is helping to serve as an additional financial bridge for survival in the short term.
In the meantime, we continue to offer encore presentations of past favorite productions on our LifeHouse YouTube channel. The staff and I continue to meet virtually as we enact new safety protocols and plan exciting future events. In addition, two dedicated casts (“The Rise of King David” and “Little Women”) are in virtual rehearsals as we anticipate the day LifeHouse may reopen.
We are working and praying toward the reopening of LifeHouse at the earliest opportunity. While we hope that will be sooner than later, we are also committed to the health and safety of our guests, cast storytellers and other volunteers.
I will continue to keep you posted on our progress and anticipated schedule changes. The longer our reopening is delayed, the greater the need for further fundraising efforts. As June arrives, we’ll likely seek another round of assistance through a renewed Go Fund Me effort seeking additional tax-deductible donations.
Please know how I truly appreciate your special support at this challenging time. I recognize that many of our financial partners are also facing the same uncertainties we are. This makes your involvement in the survival of LifeHouse all the more encouraging—I will never forget your caring concern.
I trust you will join me in continuing to pray for those afflicted and affected, for caregivers on the front lines, for our national, state and local leaders, for the theater, and for each other. You are a valued member of our LifeHouse family and I continue to lift you up in prayer as well. Thank you for the blessing of your assistance.
Gratefully Yours,
Wayne Scott

MARCH 16 8:30PM
Dear LifeHouse Family:
The latest developments and government advisories regarding the Coronavirus prompt me to regretfully announce that LifeHouse Theater must temporarily suspend our performances, classes and rehearsals.
In the interest of everyone’s health, this is the right course of action in light of what is currently known. I hope we will be able to resume all of our community outreach sooner than later. Our tentative plan is to re-open and continue our activities by early to mid April. We will keep you informed of any schedule updates and related news at LifeHouse.
Current events are, of course, fluid and changes have been rapid. But we will stay in touch with the latest information. Please be assured we remain committed to you and your well being. We will do the most we can as soon as events permit—as safely as possible and with the quality you have come to expect.
In the meantime, please let’s be as supportive of each other as we can. Please be in prayer for the theater as we remember you in prayer.
LifeHouse is currently in the greatest need of ongoing support than ever. I will be reaching out in the coming days and weeks to seek help for LifeHouse so that our staff and the theater can continue to be the outreach that it has been for more than 26 years. I will also keep you informed of the efforts we are making to be strong and viable for the future.
I look forward to being in touch. May God protect you and graciously bless you at this time.
Yours in Him,
Wayne

YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY AT LIFEHOUSE THEATER
To All of Our Friends and Members of the LifeHouse Family:
Our keen awareness of Coronavirus and related issues prompts us to reach out to you. We are closely monitoring all the ongoing developments every day here at LifeHouse.
We want to assure you that your health and safety is of utmost importance to me and all of our staff at LifeHouse. We are committed to the wellbeing of our guests, longstanding patrons, employees, stage storytellers, backstage crew and all our volunteers. To that end, we are following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) direction and we continue to monitor advisories from government and health officials.
In practical terms, we are also taking extra measures to be sure our entire theater environment is as clean and safe as possible. Additional cleaning measures are in place to ensure that seats, armrests, railings, door knobs, countertops, fixtures, and all areas anyone is likely to encounter regularly are sanitized before every performance.
At this time, all performances are proceeding as scheduled. We anticipate continuing to perform as scheduled with extra cleaning protocols in place indefinitely.
We want to assure you that our seating capacity (205 seats) is well below thresholds currently stipulated for public gatherings.
We will notify our guests prior to any given performance if there are any changes to our schedule. The latest information about our performances and other timely news can be found at lifehousetheater.com or through our Facebook page.
We also desire to be sensitive to concerns or necessary changes in plans to attend. If your plans change due to illness or other concerns you may have, we will exchange your tickets for a future performance. We are also waiving exchange fees due to the unusual current situation. Please call us at 909-335-3037 for desired changes and exchanges. We will do our very best to be accommodating and appreciate your patience as well.
Please be assured we will prayerfully do our best to serve you as we navigate through this unique time.
As always, we deeply appreciate your support of LifeHouse Theater.
Gratefully Yours,
Wayne R. Scott
