Audition Results for the Redlands Bowl
Dear Disney’s “Mary Poppins” Auditioner:
Thank you for taking time to audition for Disney’s “Mary Poppins.” All of us on the audition committee are grateful for the honor of your presence and the time you invested in being with us to make a memorable audition presentation.
As you know Disney’s “Mary Poppins” has its own unique story needs and production demands. Because of this, and the vast number of auditioners, the task of casting this production was quite challenging — especially when one considers that so many of those who auditioned were extremely talented individuals.
We count you as among the talented! And we are also humbled by how many truly talented people there are in the Inland Empire. The high caliber of audition talent present is most impressive, and we consider it a privilege that you took time and made preparations to be with us and present your own best effort.
Be assured that your efforts and patience are most appreciated. All of us on the audition panel want to extend to you, in as personal a manner as this website permits, our own special thanks. While obvious logistical constraints prevent our writing to you personally, we want you to know we gave your audition careful consideration.
Please know that many factors go into the final selection – and such factors have absolutely no bearing on your intrinsic worth as a person or your basic talent as a performer. In fact, some factors that go into casting are simply beyond your (and our) control, regardless of the caliber of the audition: such factors as character types required by the script, and mundane matters such as age ranges needed, stage space, heights of certain performers, the mix of individuals needed for certain scenes, etc.
It has been an honor to have you participate in our audition process. For those who have been cast, please be sure to read the information after the cast list.

Congratulations on being cast in Disney’s “Mary Poppins!” We welcome you and truly desire for you to have a wonderful experience with us. Be assured everyone will have much to do and I work to showcase everyone’s talent!
There are many who auditioned that could not be included in the cast. This is among the most painful things we must do as part of our responsibility. With this in mind, we would appreciate every cast members’ help in taking their commitment seriously: rehearsals, punctuality, preparation, script memorization, etc.— in short, responsibility.
Most importantly, communication is critical. Please keep us informed of changes in your schedule or any problems you have well in advance or at the first sign of difficulty. Many problems can be avoided by keeping us in the loop. With regard to scheduling, keep us informed by emailing Sarah Pearce at marypoppinsredlandsbowl2024@gmail.com.
We are looking forward to seeing you on Thursday, April 25, at Mission Gables in Redlands, 168 Eureka St, Redlands, CA 92373 (where auditions were held) beginning at 6:30 pm for our mandatory Orientation, which will include meeting the rest of the cast, introducing you to our production staff, reading through the script, and having fun. Thank you in advance. I look forward to a memorable summer experience with you!
Sincerely,
Wayne R. Scott
Producer and Director
